STEP INTO
THE WORKSHOP.

Train on real virtual devices — MCBs that trip, RCDs that sense leakage, a multimeter that actually measures. Wire live 230V circuits, make mistakes safely, and get assessed against CDACC competencies without touching a real cable.

01 / WORK ORDER

ON THE BENCH TODAY

Every lab session is issued as a real work order — the same way a site foreman would hand you a job. This is the current job card open in the workshop.

JOB CARD · LAB-101

Basic Residential Lighting Circuit

BEGINNER 20 MIN 230V AC 8 DEVICES

A client has reported that a new bedroom light is not working. You are issued a work order to install a basic lighting circuit: wire the 230V AC supply through an MCB B10 and a single-pole switch to an Edison bulb, with proper protective earth bonding — as you would on a real domestic installation.

CONDUCTOR COLOUR CODE — KS / IEC 60445

BROWNPhase (Line)
BLUENeutral
GREEN/YELLOWProtective Earth

JOB OBJECTIVES

  • Identify and mount the correct components for a lighting circuit
  • Wire phase (brown), neutral (blue) and earth (green/yellow) correctly
  • Bond protective earth and verify with a multimeter before energising
  • Energise safely and confirm the lamp toggles from the switch

WORK SEQUENCE

0/6 COMPLETE
  1. 01
Connect Phase from Source to MCB Input

Run the brown phase conductor from the supply L terminal to the MCB input (terminal 1).

  2. 02
Route Switched Line from MCB to Switch

From the MCB output (terminal 2) run a brown conductor to the switch COM terminal.

  3. 03
Connect Switched Output to the Light Bulb

From the switch L1 terminal run the brown switched-live to the lamp holder L terminal.

  4. 04
Complete the Circuit: Bulb Neutral to Neutral

Run a blue neutral conductor from the lamp holder N terminal back to the supply N terminal.

  5. 05
    Bond Ground Protective Earth (PE)

Run the green/yellow earth from the supply PE terminal to the lamp holder PE terminal.

  6. 06
Energise Main Supply and Toggle the Switch

Confirm the multimeter shows continuity, turn the power ON, then flip the switch — the Edison bulb should glow.

03 / CURRICULUM

ALIGNED TO TVET CDACC

The workshop delivers the practical component of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBET) for Electrical Installation — mapped unit by unit, so every simulator session produces assessment evidence your institution can act on.

DEVICES THAT JUDGE & GUIDE

This is not a quiz with pictures. The virtual instruments observe the trainee's every move — then assess, diagnose and guide like a patient foreman.

A/01

Real-Time Competency Assessment

Every action lands in an evidence log: conductor colours chosen, terminations made, meter readings taken, time per step. Rubric scores are computed automatically against CDACC criteria — the same rubric, every time, for every trainee.

  • Auto-graded rubric per unit
  • Competent / Not-Yet-Competent verdicts
  • Full attempt history per trainee
A/02

Error Diagnosis & Guidance

The AI Tutor watches the circuit state continuously. Reversed polarity, missing earth bond, wrong conductor colour, working live without LOTO — each triggers an explanation with the regulation reference, plus a guided correction path.

  • Rule-based expert system
  • Optional LLM tutor enhancement
  • Dead-test discipline enforcement
A/03

Workplace Realism

MCBs trip on overload, RCDs sense 30mA leakage, the multimeter reads true node voltages, the bulb only lights when physics allows it. Making a short circuit is loud, dark and educational.

  • Nodal circuit solver
  • True device ratings & curves
  • Web Audio workshop sounds

Instructor Command Post

Instructors watch every active bench live: who is on which lab, which step, guided or assessed mode. Class analytics expose the most common mistakes before they become site habits.

  • Live presence monitor
  • Mistake heatmaps & rubric weaknesses
  • Certificates with public verification

TRAINEE

Runs labs, chases competencies, collects verified certificates.

INSTRUCTOR

Monitors benches live, reviews evidence, confirms competency.

ADMINISTRATOR

Controls the virtual devices, labs, curriculum and users.
